Sometimes, you might be having a common problem that a lot of people experience. Here are some frequently asked questions and their answers…
Why does Secret Browser load up the same page I left it on?
On devices running iOS 4.0 and greater, Apple introduces Multitasking. When you press the home button on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you are no longer completely quitting the application. You are, instead, just sending it to the background and Apple is saving it’s state to quickly restore later. Luckily, I thought of this and added Background Reset. You can find it in your device’s Settings application. This will completely reset your browser every time you exit the application. You can also find a setting called ‘Panic Mode’ that will reset the browser any time the phone is locked of you recieve a text or phone call.
What’s with the advertisement on the bottom of the screen!?
I developed Secret Browser from the start to be free for everyone to use. I’ve also put a lot of time into making sure everything works great and the advertisement helps pay some of the bills. If you would like to have all the features of the FREE Secret Browser (and more!), you can purchase Ad-Free Mode and you will no longer have to see that little ad ever again. You are also welcome to hit the little red X button to hide the ad for a short period of time as well!
What’s Panic Mode?
Panic mode will completely reset your browser to whatever URL you want whenever you lock the screen or receive a phone call, text message or app notification.
Where’s the Forward Button!?
You can toggle the Forward Button on or off from your device’s Settings application. Secret Browser was built with minimalism in mind so, to save a little space in the address bar, I didn’t include one in the iPhone and iPod Touch version. This was added in v1.7.0.
I purchased AdFree Mode but can’t find these exclusive features!
All the settings for Secret Browser can be found in your device’s Settings application. This keeps the Browser nice and tidy and all your settings in one central location. As of v1.7.0, Ad-Free Mode exclusive features can be found in their own page in the Settings app.
